Data Timelines

Data Timelines

Data timelines aim to allow users view history of data entries, when they were created, when they were referenced by some other data etc.
For example https://free.vulniq.com/data/timeline?dataGuid=CVE-2019-1559 displays a timeline for the given entry.

The timeline for CVE-2019-1559 starts with commits in OpenSSL repository, then the CVE entry is created, then it is referenced in nodejs repository and so on.
All of this information is automatically created, without any human intervention. So you can simply run your own VulnIQ instance, configure it to monitor the sources you want (e.g you may not be interested in nodejs) and have access to this information for a very reasonable total cost of ownership. See https://www.vulniq.com/plans-and-pricing for more information.

If you didn't try the free version already, you may not be aware of VulnIQ features so here is a screenshot for you.

Please note that timelines are not limited to CVE entries. VulnIQ treats CVEs, git commits, OVAL definitions, web pages and many more as simply data entries and most features are available for all data types.
Also note that the environment where the screenshot was captured, monitors a small number of repositories, and more data would be available if it was configured to monitor more sources.
