VulnIQ vs Data Feeds, In Layman's Terms

Layman's Terms

Anything that can't be described in layman's terms is blockchain (a.k.a BS).

Public Transport Bus Service

Wikipedia defines it as "Public transport bus services are generally based on regular operation of transit buses along a route calling at agreed bus stops according to a published public transport timetable."
So they :
  • Take you from point A to B
  • You have no control on the schedule
  • You have no control on the route
  • You cannot get off at any random location
  • They won't make changes to the route or schedule for you
And they come with some additional perks:
  • You share a confined space with others. There is always a sick guy. There is always some sort of drama in public buses. The drunk guy, fighting couple, crying babies etc.
  • You need to change 3 buses to get to your destination.

Owning a Car

Owning a car means freedom. Freedom to go anywhere you like, anytime you want, as you like.
  • Your car will take you from any point A to any point B.
  • You make the decisions. There is no schedule, no fixed route, no fixed stops.
Of course there are some downsides, such as :
  • Maintenance. It requires more effort. When a bus breaks you just get off and take another one. But when your car breaks down, you need to get it fixed.
  • Higher initial investment. (But it's worth it.)

So?

A data feed is a public bus. VulnIQ is your own car.

P.S: You can get VulnIQ as fully managed private instances, as if you were leasing a car.
